Class Preparations: What to Wear

Primary Level Ballet

All female dancers are to wear lilac skirted leotard, white socks, and pink full sole leather ballet shoes.

All male dancers are to wear white t-shirts, black shorts, white socks, and white full sole leather ballet shoes.

Level 1 Ballet

All female dancers are to wear pink skirted leotard, white socks, and pink full sole leather ballet shoes.

10+ female dancers are to wear light pink leotard, pink tights, and pink full sole leather ballet shoes.

All male dancers are to wear white t-shirts, black tights, white socks ,and white full sole leather ballet shoes.

Level 2 Ballet

All female dancers are to wear light blue leotard, pink footed tights, and pink split sole leather ballet shoes.

All male dancers are to wear white t-shirts, black tights, white socks, and white full sole leather ballet shoes.

Level 3 Ballet

All female dancers are to wear royal blue leotard, pink convertible tights and pink split sole leather ballet shoes.

Level 4 Ballet

All female dancers are to wear garnet leotard, pink convertible tights, and pink split sole leather ballet shoes.

Level 5 Ballet

All female dancers are to wear hunter green leotard, pink convertible tights, and pink split sole leather ballet shoes.

Why we have a uniform based on Levels

Hughson Ballet's uniform is set so that the instructors can easily identify a dancer's level in class along with being able to see the dancer's body alignment to make any necessary corrections. Having a uniform look amongst the dancers allows for more attention to detail from instructors and no distractions. This provides the best learning and teaching environment.

What to Bring to Class

Dancers should bring:

water

assigned elastic hip belt

journal

pen/writing utensil

warm ups for colder weather
